We strongly recommend that you employ a solicitor with experience of purchasing Spanish property or an English-speaking Spanish solicitor (Abogado). We can help you to find the legal advice you will need to make the necessary searches to ensure that the land actually belongs to the vendor, is free of charges, has the necessary planning and building permission and that the Contract is fair and legal.
The Abogado will also be able to help you draw up a will in Spanish – not a pleasant task, but one which you are well advised to deal with.
