Bringing your car to Spain is not a problem providing you have owned it for at least six months.
You should be aware that you cannot sell, rent or transfer the car within 12 months of arriving. You will have to surrender the British registration documents to the DVLA and get hold of a certificate of Permanent Export. It sounds complicated, but is really just an exercise in paperwork which the DVLA will help you with.

If you want to buy a new car in Spain – complete with sun roof and air-conditioning of course – you’ll find that it is just as easy as buying a car in the UK or Ireland. One piece of advice, though; buying second-hand cars in Spain is complicated involving masses of paperwork!
Spanish law obliges you to carry your driving licence with you when driving and you can start the process of obtaining your Spanish driver’s licence from a caja postal – get form TASA2.3. Incidentally, a non-resident does not require a Spanish driving licence.
